Problem Gambling
Over 80% of Americans participate in some form of gambling. For most people (95%), gambling is an occasional recreational activity in which they participate responsibly. However, a small percentage of the population experiences problems from their gambling behavior, and for some, it can be a progressive disease. Missouri has taken a broad based approach to address problem gambling issues. Click here to learn more about problem gambling and Missouri's efforts.

Voluntary Exclusion Program (VEP)
The Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) administers a Voluntary Exclusion Program (VEP) which provides problem gamblers with a method to acknowledge that they have a gambling problem and take personal responsibility for it by agreeing to stop visiting riverboat casinos. Many recovering compulsive gamblers find this program to be a valuable tool in their recovery process. Click here to learn more about the Voluntary Exclusion Program.
